Getting married in Bali
Clifftop temples, rice terraces and tropical villas.
Bali offers clifftop venues over the Indian Ocean in Uluwatu, jungle settings around Ubud and private villas with pools for the whole group. It's a long trip for many guests, which often makes it a smaller, closer wedding.
When to go
The dry season, roughly April or May to September or October, is the most popular time.
How guests get there
Guests fly into Denpasar (Ngurah Rai), usually with a connection from Europe or North America.
Where guests stay
Private villas that sleep a group are very popular, alongside resorts in Uluwatu, Seminyak, Canggu and Ubud.
Ideas for the weekend
- A sunset at a clifftop beach club
- A day in the rice terraces
- A traditional Balinese dance performance
Good to know
- Many couples marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony in Bali. Check the current rules if you want it to be legal.
